A Brief Overview and History of Abilities, Inc.

Widely recognized for its support of adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities, Rosicki, Rosicki & Associates has worked with notable organizations such as Nassau County AHRC, Dutchess ARC, and Abilities, Inc., over the course of its philanthropic history.

Rosicki, Rosicki & Associates, which was presented with a Making the Difference Award from the latter organization in 2004, furthers the mission of Abilities, Inc., by employing disabled persons in a wide variety of professional roles. The brainchild of a leading activist for adults with disabilities, Abilities, Inc., came about in the early 1950s to train and employ veterans of World War II.

Following the success of its original mission, Abilities, Inc., began providing services to young people with disabilities by helping to ensure that all such children in the New York metropolitan area received access to an impeccable degree of education, training, and support as they learned how to live independent lives. Rosicki, Rosicki & Associates remains proud to promote the mission and vision of Abilities, Inc., as it continues to evolve and grow.
