On October 20, 2012, the law firm of Rosicki, Rosicki & Associates, P.C., generously sponsored a group of almost 20 participants in the Tough Mudder challenge, an event that benefits the Wounded Warrior Project (WWP). The firm joins a growing group of supporters across the United States helping injured soldiers’ transition from the battlefield to civilian life.
Designed by the British Special Forces, Tough Mudder tests an individual’s physical limits with a grueling 10-plus mile obstacle course, assessing not just strength and stamina, but also mental endurance and teamwork. All proceeds raised through athlete sponsorships go directly to WWP and, to date, the challenge has inspired 500,000 participants and raised more than $3 million worldwide.
A not-for-profit organization, WWP provides support for returning soldiers injured in service, giving them access to quality social services and support channels for veterans throughout the country. Resources include combat stress recovery assistance, counseling on available benefits, and employment search services.
