The Hudson Valley Bankruptcy Bar Association (HVBBA) hosted the 11th Annual New Deal for Consumer Bankruptcy conference in September at the Franklin D. Roosevelt Presidential Library and Museum in Hyde Park, New York. The one-day conference features workshops and court tips from experts about the latest legal developments related to consumer bankruptcy. The event is one of several that HVBBA, which is supported by law firms such as Rosicki, Rosicki & Associates, P.C., hosts annually. The networking seminars and informational events provide members with inside information about bankruptcy.
HVBBA membership is open to all attorneys in good standing who practice in the Southern District of New York. Paralegals, legal administrators, and other people whose work relates to bankruptcy law are eligible to join as non-attorney members. In addition to gaining access to legal tips and resources about bankruptcy law, members can take part in the HVBBA Luncheon Seminar Series, which offers networking and learning opportunities that are eligible for continuing legal education credit.
Dan Wade, a managing attorney in Rosicki, Rosicki & Associates’ Fishkill office, is the vice president of the HVBBA. In addition, Tom Frost, a senior attorney in the Fishkill office, is a judge/attorney on the HVBBA seminar planning committee and chair of the CLE committee. He is also a member of the HVBBA Board of Governors.
